Noah’s Instruments and Accessories (I&A) Team is responsible for the development of endoluminal instruments and accessories that are safe, effective and on-time. Noah Medical I&A team members have the traditional role of design and prototyping but also take the lead on design requirements, specifications, design risk assessment, test methods, verification testing and more. I&A also plays a critical cross functional role in support through production and even post-market performance assessments.

As a Mechatronics Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers to design, build, and test innovative surgical robotic instruments. You will be involved in various stages of the product development process, from conceptualization and prototyping to verification, validation and implementation. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment and the chance to make meaningful contributions to the future of healthcare technology.
A Day In The Life Of Our Mechatronics Engineering Intern / Co-Op:
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed mechanical designs and assemblies for test and assembly fixtures.
- Specify and integrate sensor or other data analytics into test fixturing to facilitate data collection and analysis
- Conduct experimental testing and data analysis to verify design performance relative to requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and results for internal reference and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in mechatronics, robotics, and healthcare.
About You:
- A rising senior or graduate in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical or Industrial engineering
- Proven experience in SolidWorks CAD system, at least 2 yrs.
- Proven experience with data acquisition and analysis via matlab, python, minitab, jmp or similar software.
- A general understanding of manufacturing processes including designing for machining, sheet metal, injection molding, EDM, laser cutting, and rapid prototyping.
- Prior experience working with electromechanical systems, such as First Robotics, Vex Robotics or Formula SAE
- Demonstrated product development aptitude through coursework or capstone projects.
