Job Title: Childcare Assistant
Reports To: Director
Primary Function:
The Childcare Assistant will be responsible for opening the center, managing front desk procedures, collecting childcare registration forms, parent dues and monitoring the arrival and dismissal of all children. The CA will provide exceptional customer service to children, their families and all guests.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Opening the childcare center
- Maintaining and collecting new enrollment/registration forms and submits to the Director on a same day basis.
- Maintains ALL attendance forms and ensures that children are signed in before entering the center and signed out before departing from the center.
- Informing the Director if there are any attendance concerns.
- Explains Club rules, programs, and policies, when signing up a new child.
- Maintains a record of Center activities and events, collecting and disseminating information to families as instructed.
- Answers telephones, providing general information, referring callers to the Director or taking messages as necessary.
- Follows and enforces all Center rules, guidelines, policies and best practices to all children, their families and guests as outlined by Noah's Ark CDC
- Perform other related secretarial or administrative duties as requested.
Skills/Knowledge Required
- MUST HAVE Child Development Associate or 45 Childcare hours
- Experience working in a childcare setting
- Be punctual and reliable in attendance
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and attention to detail.
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Have a strong work ethic, possess and demonstrates excellent customer service, decision-making, problem solving, team-oriented and critical thinking skills
- Ability to address difficult situations / conflicts in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast pace environment
- Proficiency in a variety of software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35,210.00 - $36,922.00 per year
