Noah’s Ark Preschool and Daycare is seeking a follower of Christ who is passionate about children, families, and sharing God’s love. We are a Faith-based full day preschool and daycare for children 8 weeks through Kindergarten. We are currently seeking Assistant Teachers for our childcare and preschool program. The position is year-round with optional summer flexibility, in a Christ-centered atmosphere. The right candidate strongly believes in the abilities of young children to grow through play, experience, and gentle leadership. They will exhibit a passion to foster these experiences for our children. Noah’s Ark teachers must have the willingness to cultivate trusting, caring relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.

Responsibilities:
· Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, provide support to the classroom by fostering a nurturing environment that encourages the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the classroom.
· Develop and maintain encouraging, supportive, and professional relationships with children, parents, and co-workers.
· Work cooperatively with Lead Teachers to enhance the classroom atmosphere.
· Encourage and supervise children during all activities.
· Utilize a variety of educational techniques to provide and encourage a diverse learning environment.
· Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
· Ensure a clean and and healthy classroom atmosphere by maintaining children’s proper hygiene and following proper policies and procedures.
· Ensure all needs of the children are met in a timely manner, such as diapering, toilet training, meal preparation and serving, clean-up, and rest time as appropriate for the highest level of care.
Qualifications:
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old
· Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
· Highly professional and dependable
· Must be able to obtain clearances in a timely manner
· Willingness to participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary staff and work with different age groups
· Must be able to lift 25lbs
· Must have a current, or be able to maintain a physical and TB test
· Must have a valid driver’s license
