We are looking for an energetic candidate to receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. The warehouse team member will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. They will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to the delivery area, and load merchandise. The team member will unload stock from delivery vehicles, and transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. They will keep the work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. To ensure success the team member must have the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Unloading of inbound shipments including verification of product count, assurance of no existing damage, completing required paperwork, utilizing the required WMS (Warehouse Management System) and putting material away into designated locations. Must be able to scan products in and out of location.
- Retrieving material from locations and loading of outbound shipments including verification of product count; assurance of no existing damage; completion of required paperwork; utilizing the required Warehouse Management System.
- Operate forklift or material handling equipment to move product as necessary. Build loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
- Assurance of inventory accuracy and adherence to customer quality programs including special Noatum Logistics accounts that require absolute control of loading material receipts.
- Must be able to identify and escalate problems or questions.
- Trailer inspections, housekeeping, cycle counting, forklift inspections, and other assigned tasks.
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
