Tile Setter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tile installation and remodeling, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial spaces. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality tile work that meets both aesthetic and functional standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut tiles to fit designated areas accurately.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to design specifications.
• Apply grout and sealants to finished tile work to ensure durability and water resistance.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including cabinet installers and flooring specialists, to complete projects efficiently.
• Assess job sites for water damage restoration needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Read blueprints and construction plans to understand project requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Skills

• Proficiency in remodeling techniques and construction practices.
• Experience with cabinet installation and flooring installation is preferred.
• Strong skills in caulking and restoring surfaces as needed.
• Ability to perform construction estimating for project planning.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills to interpret design layouts effectively.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during installation.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
