- Licensed Marine Engineer is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Five years of experience working in Oil & Gas similar to Technical Superintendents, Technical Section Leaders (Chief Engineer), Rig Maintenance Supervisors.
- Proficiency with computerized management systems (CMMS)
- Experience in MARPOL, SOLAS, IMO, MODU Code and all other applicable regulations.
- Experience with MODU operations and maintenance related activities
- Hold certification or can be certified for Offshore Oil & Gas travel (BOSIET, OGUK, etc.).
- Experience and good understanding of modern web based electronic document systems as well as traditional paper-based systems.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of HTML, SharePoint, and PowerBI.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new procedures and systems within a project environment.
- Ability to problem solve with simple and complex tasks or projects.
- Proactive; ability to work independently or with groups.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Responsible for conducting technical inspections onboard each MODU within Nobles global fleet in accordance with the management system.
- Conduct technical inspections to identify the condition of the material condition of the MODU and its equipment.
- Technical inspections conducted on each MODU support with determining the overall condition, safety and efficiency of the maintenance system.
- Coordinate scheduling of the inspection with Rig Management to ensure the inspection scope is provided.
- Responsible for coordinating travel to and from the MODUs. This will include airline tickets, Hotel stays, any required documentation in the country the inspection will take place such as visas.
- Maintain ability to travel and maintain offshore qualifications (Medical physical, required certificates, etc.)
- Assist the Supervisor, Marine Compliance and Inspection Marine ensuring compliance with the regulations of flag states, continental shelf authorities, classification societies and industry standards.
- Ensure all non-conformities and deviations are documented via the technical inspection report.
- Ensure all findings in the inspection report are recorded and tracked till closure, in accordance with the company management system.
- Participate in optimization of the maintenance activities and provide input to the onboard Maintenance Personnel.
- Ensure the Safety Environmental Critical Elements (SECE) onboard are correctly identified in the management system, regulatory or other specified requirement.
- Evaluate onboard use of management system and relevant personnel are trained.
- Review the Management System to identify if overdue maintenance of SECE exists. If so, confirm the validity of the reason and confirm a risk assessment is in place.
- Ensure the performance standard and specific requirements for onboard testing are complied with and adequate.
- Provide input for the long-term maintenance strategy.
- Participate in the continuous maintenance program by analyzing measurements and failure trends for applicable MODUs.
- Participate in incident investigations, as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement of the Technical Inspection Program
- Assist in Identifying deficiency trends for continuous improvement of the maintenance system.
- Upon completion of an Inspection, conduct a close out meeting with the crew to review the inspection results with focus on the overall MODU performance / status, findings, best practices, etc.
