What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistente Mecânico position at Noble Drilling Services Inc.?
Support maintenance efforts which comply with regulatory and other relevant standards. Assist Mechanics with technical support for mechanical systems to ensure achievement of rig efficiency and client objectives. Provide specific focus on systems that will keep maintenance operations running effectively and avoid down time. Assist the Rig Maintenance Supervisor or Barge Engineer with effective maintenance procedures and ensure that the Noble Maintenance System is effectively utilized.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Recognized trade qualification from technical college/apprenticeship or equivalent preferred.
- 1 years of mechanical maintenance experience, prior experience as a Motorman preferred.
- Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.
- Proficient in office applications and other systems required for the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of more senior mechanical staff:
- Ensure safe and efficient operations on equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the rig.
- Ensure that incomplete repairs and projects are finished within their scheduled time of completion in order to keep a backlog of work to a minimum.
- Ensure that equipment failure is kept to a minimum and within contractual limits.
- Ensure planned maintenance is accurately completed.
- Ensure that entries on permits, isolation tags and logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment.
- Assist team in maintenance of equipment as required.
- Ensure that replacement parts are kept to an optimum level.
- Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
- Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
- Implement and uphold Noble's safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all operations proceed in a safe manner. Correct and notify responsible parties of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist.
- Encourage and motivate personnel to observe safety and environmental policies and all intended and implied requirements of Noble's Management System.
- Responsible for familiarizing and adhering to Noble's Live Safe Code for the purpose of promoting a zero-incident and no-harm workplace.
- Responsible for familiarizing and utilizing Noble's Hazard Identification Tool to manage risk created by various energy sources found in the workplace.
- Attend and actively participate in daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements established in Noble's Management System.
- Initiate a safety stand down whenever an unplanned hazard or change in the expected results is observed.
- Perform all Safety Critical Tasks as detailed in the HSE Case.
- Incorporate the STOP the job planning process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team.
- Take the initiative to perform emergency duties without specific orders or instruction.
- Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis and prepare hazard assessments as required.
- Responsible for compliance with all government regulations.
