Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting the bartenders and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the bar area, assisting with drink preparation, and ensuring that all supplies are stocked and organized. Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders in greeting guests, offering water and menus
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Main priority will be polishing wine glasses and cocktail glasses.
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately when required.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Support food service operations by bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred.
- Knowledge of Aloha POS system is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak hours at nightclubs or events.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about cocktails, spirits, and bar operations.
