Noble High School is located in North Berwick, Maine, and serves the communities of Berwick, North Berwick, and Lebanon. Noble is an 8-12 school with 1250 students housed in two heterogeneously grouped academies made up of grade-level teams and houses. We are a member of the New England Secondary School Consortium and the League of Innovative Schools. Our school features student-centered learning, multiple pathways to success, one-to-one technology, a Teacher/Student Leadership Team, a proficiency-based system of teaching and learning, multiple performance-based assessments, student-led conferences, and a final capstone called Senior Project.
Strong candidates will possess the knowledge, skills, and ideologies consistent with the philosophies and practices of standards and proficiency-based educational systems. A clear understanding of the connection between curriculum, instruction, and assessment is required. This long term sub position will teach four sections of grade 9 Environmental Systems and one section of Marine Biology. It is expected that this position will start in early May and continue for the remainder of the school year.
Job Requirements:
Degree Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Experience Preferred: Three years or more
Work Eligibility: Citizenship, residency, or work VISA required
Additional Requirements: Maine high school teacher certification and CHRC or ability to obtain.
