Laundry Attendent/Seasonal

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet the high standards of cleanliness and presentation required in our establishment. This role is essential in maintaining the overall guest experience in a hotel or hospitality environment. Ironing of linens during the season will also be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder hotel linens and guest clothing.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean laundry items efficiently.
• Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics.
• Inspect items for stains or damages before laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area at all times.
• Ensure that all laundry equipment is used properly and maintained regularly.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.

Skills

• Proficiency in laundering techniques, including knowledge of fabric care labels.
• Experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly work area.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Pay: $17.47 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
