Job Summary:
The Assistant Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that products meet specified standards and are installed correctly according to plans. This role involves performing regular quality checks, presenting reports, recommending process adjustments, and guiding subcontractors to maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure products meet specifications and are properly installed as per plans.
- Verify that products are within their shelf life and applied according to specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks with keen attention to detail.
- Present quality control reports to managers.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Inspect, test, and measure materials.
- Conduct thermo-testing of building envelopes.
- Test for water intrusions and air filtration.
- Conduct walk-throughs with clients focusing on quality control items.
- Prepare and follow up on QC/observation reports through Procore.
- Guide subcontractors to maintain high-quality standards.
- Follow up on Manufacturers representative install letters for materials used on-site.
- Compile and manage punch lists with Superintendents.
- Maintain open communication lines with architects and engineers.
- Document any warrantable items.
- Perform walk-throughs with subcontractors and Superintendents.
Daily Workloads:
- Conduct walk-throughs with clients specializing in quality control and building envelope assurance.
- Document and coordinate work with Superintendents on deficiencies found during construction.
- Follow up on discrepancies and document remedies to ensure a properly functional product.
- Identify warrantable items and coordinate with subcontractors for resolutions.

Qualifications:
- EM385 certification
- QC certification (Preferred)
- Waterproofing certification (ABAA certification) (Preferred)
- Ability to read concrete/foundation/geo reports
- Thermography certification (Preferred)
- FAA Drone license (Preferred)
- OSHA 30/CPR/First aid certification
- Experience with scaffold, scissor, and boom lifts
- Confined space certification
- Competent person certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Minimum 5 years of construction background (Preferred)
