Senior Azure Cloud Engineer - Contract

Duties :

  • Design and develop Azure services and foundational templates using Azure Landing Zones and Terraform.
  • Research and provide best practices for Azure cloud integrations such as subscription management, IAM, and SSO.
  • Lead projects by preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and coordinating team efforts to deliver results on time.
  • Write and review system specifications, including output requirements and technical diagrams.
  • Provide security recommendations for solution design and service usage.
  • Manage cryptography and ensure the encryption of data in the cloud.

Skills :

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-based and on-premises networking, firewalls, and security measures.
  • Expertise in Azure services, including AKS and Azure Active Directory.
  • Advanced Linux administration skills, with a focus on Ubuntu Server, Red Hat, and CentOS.
  • Proficient in at least one coding language (Python, Go, Bash, Groovy, etc.) alongside Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines and Stack Orchestration processes.
  • Familiarity with Git-based source code management and Agile / Scrum planning tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Jira.

    • Education :

    B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

    Additional Notes :

  • This role is a contract position with potential for extension based on performance and budget availability.
  • Requires 4-5 years of Azure experience with recent engagement in the platform.
  • A background in Terraform and DevOps for Cloud Services is essential.
