SAP Transportation Management Architect

• Title: SAP Transportation Management Architect
• Location: Remote, with 25% travel to Tampa, FL
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in relevant roles, with at least 8 years of experience in SAP S/4 Hana and Transportation Management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP S/4 Hana Transportation Management Expertise:

• The candidate must have extensive experience in implementing and supporting SAP S/4 Hana Transportation Management (TM), especially in various business processes.
• Key business processes include international and domestic outbound logistics, sales orders, stock transfer orders, inbound orders (like purchase orders), and customer/vendor returns.
• Experience across multiple geographies (e.g., North America, China, and India) is needed for a global approach to transportation management.

1. Integration Skills:

• The candidate should have experience integrating SAP S/4 Hana TM with other systems like SAP TSW (Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench) for rail, barge, and vessels.
• Experience with IntelliTrans, a third-party system used for rail and barge EDI 404 (electronic data interchange for transportation) integration is also required.
• Integration of Order and Delivery functionality with embedded TM is needed.

1. Charge Management:

• The role involves implementing and supporting Charge Management for various modes of transportation (Truck, Rail, Barge, and Vessel). This involves the configuration and management of transportation costs and related charges.

1. Freight Settlement:

• The architect should have experience in the Freight Settlement process, ensuring that freight costs are correctly processed in S/4 Hana, with integration to other modules as needed (e.g., SAP Purchasing and Finance).

1. Master Data Management:

• Ensuring the correct configuration and maintenance of master data for transportation management. This includes understanding the requirements for Business Partners, Transportation Networks, and organizational structures.
• The architect will also define conditions (such as freight rates) and resolve issues like freight incompatibilities.

1. Financial Integration:

• Integration of SAP S/4 Hana TM with SAP Purchasing and Finance for creating documents like Service Freight Purchase Orders (POs), Service Entry Sheets (SES), and Agency Business Documents.
• Understanding of Cost Distribution and Accounting documents, as well as integration with COPA (Profitability Analysis) from Freight Settlement Documents (FSD).

Skills and Qualifications:

• 8 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Hana TM (although the job asks for profiles with 15 years of experience overall).
• Strong presentation skills for explaining complex systems and configurations to stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage the integration of multiple SAP modules and third-party tools.
• Deep knowledge of global logistics and transportation processes, specifically in relation to SAP.
