Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.  Noblis MSD is seeking to hire a Software Developer or Computer Scientist.

 

Noblis MSD is seeking a DevSecOps/Systems Engineer to join a growing team supporting the design and development of critical U.S. Navy systems and technologies.  The candidate will join a team of software/systems engineers and learn the systems and processes to contribute with the following:

 

  • Provide lifecycle software support following the Navy's Systems Engineering Process (SEP) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) standards.
  • Develop new and modified control system computer programs from software requirements.
  • Familar with Agile methodology and Scrum process framework for project execution.
  • Develop and/or modify code in Python, Java, and/or C/C . 
  • Familar with utilizing Bitbucket repository for software development.
  • Familar with OSA Tekton pipelines.
  • Able to establish an Ansible Host platform
  • Develop and/or modify Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) using applicable development tools.
  • Develop software for embedded systems.
  • Develop and conduct software tests to demonstrate computer programs satisfy requirements.
  • Use software issue tracking tools/databases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree and 0-3 years’ work experience
  • U.S. Navy DevSecOps and Systems Engineer platform development experience 
  • US Citizen and Active Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Motivated to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • 25% travel required

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid US passport or the ability to obtain one upon position acceptance
  • Knowledge/familiarity of Java and/or Python programming languages preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

Posted Salary Range

USD $63,600.00 - USD $99,450.00 /Yr.
