The Navy Calibration Project Analyst Technician assists COMNAVSURFLANT with maintaining calibration readiness on U.S. Navy ships. The Assessor will provide fleet and location trend analysis, recommendations to improve test equipment and calibration standard readiness. The Project Analyst Technician will also assist CNSL ships with maintenance of complex electronic shipboard systems by reviewing the maintenance technical requirements and ensuring or prescribing the correct test equipment to be use in the maintenance. Additionally, the Project Analyst Technician will support the COMNAVSURFLANT Consolidated TMDE Readiness Assessment (CTRA) program by performing the following tasks:
- Coordinating visit and travel schedules with shipboard personnel to assist with remedial readiness actions.
- Developing and routing status reports trending progress of calibration readiness for CNSL ships and shore commands and providing recommendations to improve performance.
- Brief U.S. Navy activities on CTRA and remedial action results.
- Maintaining and updating CTRA Databases and records to reflect completion of corrective actions.
- Monitor allowance change request adjudications and verify their implementation.
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience or an Associate's degree and 6 years' experieince or a High School diploma and 9 years' experience.
- DOD SECRET Security Clearance
- Use of MS Office Suite tools.
- Performing audits using technical references.
- Familiarity with complex electronic shipboard systems and maintenance requirements (i.e., Radar, Fire Control, Communications, Navigation).
- Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to interact with Senior Military personnel.
- Familiar with purpose, use, and change requirements for Ship SPETERLs
- Proficiency with use of test equipment on shipboard systems.
- Proficiency with Preventative Maintenance Systems.
- Ability to work in a shipboard/shipyard environment and inventory shipboard equipment.
