Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our team. The Materials Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials for our solar energy projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are equipped with the necessary components to meet timelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source materials required for solar projects, including solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and related supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and conduct regular audits to ensure availability of materials while minimizing excess stock.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics and shipping teams to coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials to project sites, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to materials procurement, inventory levels, and delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other teams to forecast material needs and adjust procurement strategies as necessary.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, and address any discrepancies with suppliers to resolve issues promptly.
- Generate regular reports on material usage, inventory levels, and procurement activities to support decision-making and optimize supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in materials coordination, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of inventory management software and tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
