NOC Technologies Inc. is hiring a Network Engineer/Administrator to support the National Military Command Center (NMCC) in Arlington, Virginia. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and monitoring existing and new networks. You will be working with a team of other network administrators/engineers to resolve issues, implement patches, updates, and report progress to supervisor and stakeholders.
As a Network Engineer/Administrator, you will:
· Design, implement, monitor and manage networks.
· Design, document and manage installation of network equipment.
· You will be working with other teams to include system administration, multimedia engineers, telecommunications engineers, etc. in a collaborative effort in designing and troubleshooting systems.
· You will be required to make entries within the Remedy ticketing system to document the work that is being accomplished on a regular basis.
· Candidates must be comfortable with developing schedules/timelines for the work that is required to be reviewed by leadership.
· Enable network drops for new workstations and servers.
· Maintain and upgrade network systems, software, firmware and configurations.
· Design and implement new network solutions or improve efficiency of current networks.
· Develop List of Materials (LOM) for network equipment
· Configure routers and switches to maximize network efficiency and security.
· Arrange scheduled upgrades.
· Investigate and resolve network faults.
· Equipment lifecycle management.
· Report network status, issues and recommendations to key stakeholders
· Implementation of DISA STIGS and vulnerability patching
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
· Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance required.
· DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher (e.g., Security , CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) required.
· BA/BS in Computer Science or related field preferred.
· 5 years of experience in networking. Proven working experience as a network engineer/administrator in the information technology sector.
· Nice to have: Experience with AutoCAD, Experience with Juniper, Experience with Crestron NVX, CCNA, CCNP, Working in a command center or other DoD environment, and RMF/Cyber understanding.
Pay Range: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00
