What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales And Design position at NOCO Basements?

Our busy company is seeking a motivated sales rep to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to educate potential clients and create plan designs and proposals that align with each customer's unique goals and budget.


The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in construction sales or design, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Leads provided by the company.


Uncapped commission Bonus

Compensation:

$56,000 - $95,000

Responsibilities:
  • Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information
  • Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
  • Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
  • Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers
  • Supply accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs

Client Engagement:

  • Engage with potential clients in a consultative manner, actively listening to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints for basement finishing projects.
  • Educate clients about the benefits and possibilities of transforming their basement spaces

Relationship Building:

  • Establish trust, rapport, and long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, addressing their concerns, providing expert guidance, and fostering open communication throughout the sales process and beyond.

Comprehensive Assessment:

  • Gather details during the initial consultation phone call to better understand the unique goals of each client. Take time to address concerns and answer any questions they might have about what to expect throughout the process.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customers' basement spaces, gaining a deep understanding of their requirements, constraints, and desired outcomes.
  • Based on the information gathered, create a custom plan drawing along with a detailed proposal that you will present to the client.

Accurate Estimations:

  • After assessing the space and gathering measurements create a design and detailed plan drawing that best utilizes the space based on the goals and budget of the client.
  • Utilize the Buildertrend estimating software to provide accurate, detailed proposals, considering the unique needs and preferences of each client.
  • Clearly communicate what is included and what might change based on the desired scope discussed, ensuring transparency and alignment with the client's budget.

Customized Plan Drawings:

  • Collaborate with customers to develop compelling and customized plans that showcase the potential of transforming their basement space.
  • Tailor each plan to the specific needs and preferences of each client.

Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Address concerns, provide regular updates, and manage expectations throughout the sales process.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in basement finishing.
  • Share your knowledge with clients, educating them about the latest innovations and recommending solutions that align with their needs.

Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, analyzing data to identify trends and track your sales performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies that enhance the sales process and improve customer satisfaction.


Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is preferred
  • Extensive experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software
  • Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
  • Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial
  • A Bachelors’ degree in construction management, civil engineering, accounting, or a related field is required

  • Experience creating detailed plan drawings
