The Opportunity:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers the unique opportunity to be involved in the full life cycle of new product development, from concept through production. As part of a small collaborative team, you’ll work in our state-of-the-art R&D facility in Phoenix, AZ.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the new product design process from initial concept to final production and sustaining.
- Analog and digital circuit design.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Sourcing and specifying electrical parts to meet design specifications.
- Conducting failure analysis and troubleshooting components and assemblies.
- Collaborating with external suppliers to coordinate design and manufacturing activities.
- Building, assembling, and testing prototypes to validate designs.
- Writing detailed design specifications and test reports.
- Creating product testing and validation procedures.
- Working closely with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical designs into overall product requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC).
- Supporting manufacturing activities.
- Traveling occasionally to visit suppliers and customers.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A hands-on approach and willingness to work in the lab to build and test prototypes.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a strong focus on design and product development.
- Proficiency in Altium or a similar schematic capture and PCB layout tool.
- Broad knowledge of analog and digital circuits.
- Design, simulation, and circuit analysis.
- Design for EMI/EMC and compliance.
- Design for manufacturing and test.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits and systems.
- Competent with lab equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc.
Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
The ideal candidate has experience or knowledge in some of the following areas.
- Micro-controllers
- Communication ports (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.)
- Displays (LCD, OLED, etc.)
- Embedded programming in C
- Motors and motor control
- USB-C Power Delivery
- Lithium-Ion batteries
- Power electronics
- Load cells, strain gauges
