Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled bartenders to join our high-energy, fast-paced team for the 2025 season. The ideal candidate has a passion for crafting quality drinks, providing excellent customer service, and working as part of a team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring top-tier guest service in an exciting indoor and outdoor venue featuring live music, DJ nights, and special events.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Serve Drinks – Mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently based on standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain Bar Cleanliness and Organization – Wash glassware, restock supplies, and keep the bar organized throughout service.
- Engage with Guests – Take orders, provide recommendations, upsell menu items, and ensure a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
- Monitor Alcohol Consumption and Responsible Service – Verify customer IDs, recognize signs of overconsumption, and adhere to TIPS training for responsible alcohol service.
- Handle Cash and POS Transactions – Process orders accurately using the POS system, manage tabs, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with the Team – Work closely with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
- Follow Food Safety and Compliance Regulations – Ensure all food, garnish prep, and drink handling meet health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with Inventory Management – Track bar stock levels and notify management of low supplies to ensure efficiency.
- Adapt to High-Volume Service – Stay organized, efficient, and proactive during busy shifts and live events.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills – Ability to engage with guests and create a positive experience.
- Sales and Upselling Skills – Confidently recommend drinks, specials, and add-ons to enhance guest satisfaction.
- POS and Cash Handling Proficiency – Experience using POS systems for order processing, tab management, and payments.
- Time Management and Efficiency – Ability to work quickly and handle multiple drink orders at once.
- Knowledge of Drink Preparation – Familiarity with standard cocktail recipes, garnishing techniques, and pouring methods.
- Understanding of Food and Alcohol Safety Regulations – Ability to recognize signs of overconsumption and enforce responsible service.
- Team-Oriented Approach – Works well with coworkers, communicates effectively, and helps maintain a smooth bar operation.
- Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Environment – Thrives in a high-volume bar setting, especially during peak hours and events.
Job Details:
- Seasonal Position – Soft opening in early April (weather permitting) and running through late October
- Part-time hours available (Morning and Night Shifts)
