Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect / Salesforce Developer (Contractor) to support MuleSoft projects within a government agency. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and development staff to enhance, streamline, and optimize MuleSoft systems.
This role requires hands-on technical expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API development, system integration, and Agile methodologies. The selected individual will lead design sessions, develop and configure MuleSoft solutions, and participate in Agile ceremonies (daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, customize, and optimize technical aspects of MuleSoft solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver integrations.
- Design and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs using RAML/OpenAPI specifications.
- Lead MuleSoft solution design and architecture discussions.
- Implement OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect for secure integrations.
- Configure MuleSoft API Gateway policies (security, throttling, rate limiting).
- Work with message queues and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
- Develop, deploy, and maintain integrations on cloud platforms (Salesforce, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Utilize CI/CD tools (Git, Maven, Azure DevOps) for development and deployment.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate on code reviews.
- Ensure compliance with government security and background check requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8 years of programming experience.
- 5 years as a Lead MuleSoft Architect/Developer.
- Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange).
- Experience designing and implementing API integrations with Mule 4x.
- Hands-on experience with MuleSoft connectors (Database, Salesforce, FTP, JMS).
- Proficiency in SQL, Java, C#, and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, MuleSoft Monitoring).
- Must pass a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and a 7-year HireRight background check.
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Certified Developer (I/II).
- Experience in government IT projects or large-scale enterprise integration.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing and deployment strategies.
- This position supports Department of Economic Security (DES) DTS OSM MuleSoft Projects.
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Pay Rate: $70 per hour.
