Part-Time Farm Assistant (Nojo Farm)

Location: Denmark, SC

Hours: 3 hours/week

Pay: $25/hour

Nojo Farm, a farming startup, is hiring a Part-Time Farm Assistant to support weekly operations and help keep things running smoothly. This flexible, low-hour role is perfect for someone who loves animals, enjoys being outside, and doesn’t mind snapping a few pictures for the 'Gram.

About Nojo Farm: Nojo consist of parcels divided by Cooper Street in Denmark, South Carolina. One parcel is 16 acres and the other is 10 acres. Each is currently in the planning phase for planting an orchard, primarily of pecan trees. In addition, we are planning to house multiple honey bee and squab (pigeon) colonies, in addition to a dozen or so goats and sheep.

The ideal candidate lives within walking distance to 360 Cooper Street, Denmark, SC and is interested in helping build and manage a farm from literally the dirt up.

• Accept and log deliveries
• Check and sort farm mail
• Walk the grounds to ensure the farm is safe and secure
• Post 1–2 farm update photos or short videos weekly to Nojo Farm’s social media
• Greet and provide access to contractors performing scheduled work on-site
• Report updates, issues, or needs directly to the farm owner
• Check on animals and ensure their well-being (Q4 2025)
• Feed animals and keep water sources clean and full (Q4 2025)

• Responsible, honest, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable around livestock (goats, chickens, etc.)
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and walk uneven terrain
• Has a smartphone and basic social media skills (Instagram/Facebook)
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Must have reliable transportation and be punctual

• 3 hours per week, flexible
• Ideally spread out across 2–3 short visits a week
• Occasional weekday availability to meet contractors required
