You are a hands-on finance leader with expertise in driving financial performance and accelerating value creation. You are committed to do what it takes to become a trusted sparring partner and strategic advisor to the Head of Enterprise Applications in Nokia's Digital Office.

You thrive in a complex and challenging environment. You are fully invested in supporting achievement of the unit leader's financial, operational and strategic priorities. You see success of the unit as your success.

This is an individual contributor role, supported by a finance team consisting of Financial Controllers and Financial Analysts, who are responsible for the monthly financial closing and reporting activities.


Drives financial performance

  • Maintains a solid hands-on grip on financials.
  • Leads planning and negotiations of unit budget needs.
  • Brings monthly visibility to unit financial performance.
  • Ensures improving cost transparency and identifies actions to achieve financial targets.
  • Ensures robust financial modelling and business case validation for major decisions/ initiatives.
  • Monitors and guides successful financial delivery of business cases.
  • Supports proactively in key contract negotiations and renewals.
  • Loops in internal experts as needed (e.g., Financial Controllers) to bring cost transparency.
  • Works in a way that is "joined-at-the-hip" with the Unit Operations Lead.

Accelerates Value Creation

  • Connects the dots to show the bigger picture by linking the financials with key value drivers.
  • Proactively identifies actions that can move the needle to achieve unit priorities.
  • Actively secures buy-in of unit leadership team for these actions, and supports implementation

Becomes a trusted sparring partner and strategic advisor to the unit leader

  • Supports the unit leader to achieve success in his/ her identified priority areas.
  • Actively balances short/ medium/ long-term outcomes.
  • Hands-on problem solving for the unit's high priority/ risk/ opportunity areas.

  • 10 years of experience in Financial / Business Controlling in supporting senior business leaders.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial Policies and internal controls.
  • Preferred: Cross-functional career experience.
  • Preferred: Understanding of procurement tools and processes, and vendor contracts
  • Ability to connect the dots between key value drivers of the business and financial results.
  • Good balance between the big picture vs the details.
  • Ability to work with strategic topics to provide recommendations and guidance.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker, fast learner, team player, speed in execution, crisp and clear communicator, confident fact-based challenger and persuader, ability to work under pressure.
