About The Team
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
This position offers hands-on experience in infrastructure environment support while developing skills in asset tracking and CAPEX management.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As part of our team, you’ll gain exposure to a dynamic environment where adaptability is key—working on a variety of tasks and learning to navigate shifting priorities such as:
- Assist with managing inventory for this site,f in terms of receiving Nokia equipment and asset tracking
- Assist with building, configuration, and installation of Linux-based systems for deployment in a lab & data center type of environment
- Unbox, rack, and stack, cable
- Help with install and configuring Linux OS, as well as creating testbed files
- Troubleshoot network, software, and user desktop environment issues
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field, and 1-2 years of experience or internship in an IT environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory/asset management.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems and understanding of scripting (e.g., Shell scripts, Python, Ansible, Perl).
- Some experience with virtual machines & containers (Docker, ProxMox, VMWare, VirtualBox).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of equipment.
