Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to manage Nokia's tax projects in US, reporting directly to Head of Tax, NAM.
Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will :
- Efficiently manage and optimize outsourced federal and state income tax compliance processes
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to enhance the organization's tax positions, identify and mitigate risks associated with US tax matters
- Provide support to the business through sales mode deviation requests, contract setup and risk analysis in new business cases / tenders, and offering tax guidance during the RFP process
- Assist the Tax Planning Director in M&A tax projects and international tax initiatives
- Proactively monitor and assess the impact of changes in tax legislation
- Develop and execute tax audit and litigation strategies, including aiding in tax disputes
- Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly IFRS reporting for income taxes
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls by adhering to process and documentation requirements.
- Assist with managing withholding tax compliance
