Job Description
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and managing shipping and receiving activities. He/She will also serve as the subject matter expert for Nokian Tyres' warehouse management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate scheduling of warehouse work teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage all shipping, receiving, and warehouse storage activities to meet operational demands.
- Train other warehouse personnel on their assigned areas and perform routine warehouse tasks as required.
- Assist the Logistics Manager with KPI development, tracking, and local P&L adherence.
- Contribute to uniform warehouse processes and represent North America in global WMS projects.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred.
- 5 years experience working in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
- 2 years experience as a supervisor, including scheduling and coordination of team tasks.
- Prior experience managing a multi-site, multi-shift operation is preferred.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations processes and valid forklift operator license are required.
