What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant VP Senior Living position at Noland Home Office?
Summary of Duties
Responsible for directing and monitoring administration and overall clinical operations of senior living communities with emphasis on quality services and operating systems in accordance with established plans, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
1. Oversees operations for assigned senior living communities to support established divisional goals and policies.
2. Conducts regular site visits to facilities and monitors operations, programs, physical properties, compliance with applicable rules and regulations and initiates changes when necessary.
3. Participates in the development of capital and operating budgets.
4. Meets with the Vice President Senior Living to discuss operational, clinical, and financial outcomes, capital expenditures, goals and objectives, long-range plans and laws, rules and regulations governing senior living operations.
5. Assists with development and implementation of strategic and long-range goals for the senior living facilities/communities.
6. Investigates complex problems and facilitates conflict resolution as requested.
7. Directs policy and procedure review and development including but not limited to clinical protocols, treatment modalities, clinical competency and regulatory compliance.
8. Makes written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the operations of senior living communities.
9. Participates in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies and applicable accrediting agencies and ensure compliance as required.
10. Directs and manages special projects as assigned.
11. Participates in the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement programs for the Senior Living Division.
12. Participates in, and directs, recruitment of staff.
13. Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of staffing models for Senior Living assigned facilities.
14. Serves as interim Executive Director role as needed.
Education
Degree in business administration, health care administration, nursing or equivalent required. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Alabama Nursing Home Administrator’s License required.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in skilled nursing administration with progressive management responsibility. Experience managing multiple sites preferred.
