The Custodian position is located in a manufacturing/industrial environment that operates 24/7.
The position requires daily, weekly/as needed, monthly/as needed and as needed tasks completed:
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the individual may be exposed to moving mechanical
parts and outside weather conditions. The individual is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid
conditions; high, precarious places, fumes and airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat
and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.

The position requires daily, weekly/as needed, monthly/as needed and as needed tasks completed:
- Empty waste baskets in all office areas
- Vacuum all office area carpeting
- Clean and dust all conference rooms
- Clean office coffee machine area
- Wash hand prints from doors and walls
- Mop lobby floor
- Clean tops of file cabinets, office partitions and over desk cabinets
- Vacuum and arrange carpet mats
- Empty waste baskets and vacuum production control
- Clean office area restrooms
- Clean the automation area restrooms
- Empty the shop and office trash barrels
- Clean First Aid room
- Empty waste baskets and vacuum Human Resources offices
- Empty waste baskets and vacuum the computer room.
- Clean the stairs to the break room
- Clean back employee stairwell
- Change the empty spring water dispensers and refill the cups
- Refill paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers in all restrooms
- Mop the ramp and area by the elevator on the lower level
- Ensure all windows , exterior and hall doors are locked
- Ensure all heating and AC thermostats are set to proper temperature
- Dust fire extinguishers
- Run the floor scrubber through the up/down stairs hallways
- Burnish up /down stairs hall floors
- Clean tops of baseboard and baseboard heat
- Clean air conditioning diffusers
- Drive Nolato truck back and forth to warehouse
- Wash windows
- Shovel walkways, snow blow and snow plow
- Order supplies
- Report urgent facilities issues to the shift supervisor
- Generate work orders for facility repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid VT Driver's License
- Good performance record, work ethic and demonstrated initiative.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Mechanical aptitude and capacity to employ common sense while carrying out
