Specific Functions
- Remove mold and auxiliary equipment from the press and return equipment to proper storage location.
- Clean platens and bed area before installing next mold.
- Installs next mold making all necessary connections (water, air, electric, sweep, auxiliary equipment) and machine adjustments, so the mold is production ready.
- Ensures proper low pressure mold safety setup.
- Sets process conditions from machine memory, disks or SCRAM cards and process sheets or material literature guidelines.
- Purge cylinder as necessary and starts molding product following starts up guidelines previously established.
- Completes new mold inspections and checklist.
- Performs general maintenance duties, follows and documents preventative maintenance schedules.
- Writes maintenance work orders as needed.
- Assembles MUD type unit molds and disassemble and assemble molds for minor repairs as needed.
- Follows work schedules proactively.
- HS Diploma or equivalent with general math skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends
- Good safety record
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
