We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Support Aide to join our team. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life by assisting people with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
As a Medical Support Aide, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring proper documentation in medical records.
- Supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring health status and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assisting with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferred
- 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma or equivalent
- CNA and/or Medication Aide certification a plus!
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and screenings
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, with no major violations (including DUI) in the last five (5) years
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy, patience, and effective communication.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation practices.
