Sr. Project Manager - Columbia Falls

The Senior Project Manager has a mixture of tactical and strategic roles which include planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while implementing business objectives, strategies, and plans, organizing department personnel, and being the point of contact for Project Management.  This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives; creates and executes project work plans and makes revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements; identifies resources needed and works closely with department heads and managers to assign individual responsibilities.  

The Senior Project Manager has a big picture view of all projects managed by Project Managers and Project Coordinators and helps to keep workloads balanced and individual strengths utilized within the department; manages the day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope; reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to the client; ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately and minimizes our exposure and risk on projects.

Essential Functions / Responsibility:
Strategic
•    Be a subject matter expert (SME) in vertical and Nomad solutions offerings.
•    Become subject matter expert in vertical industry best practices and innovation. 
•    Learn and understand Nomad brand, voice in execution.   
•    Work closely with executive leadership to identify and develop timelines and process improvements.
•    Work with additional departments to improve standards, communication flow, etc. 
People
•    Understand the significance of the Nomad Core Values and display a demonstrated willingness to apply them. 
•    Develop and maintain relationships with internal department leads, managers, key customers, and vendor partners. 
•    Oversee, train and coach the PM team as defined by Nomad’s project management methods and processes to deliver “Frictionless Customer Experience” and clearly defined and executable Sales Document Packages, project goals, and status updates.
•    Support Executive leadership and vertical managers to meet annual sales revenue goals. 
•    Coach and mentor Sales and Project Management teams, including regular knowledge sharing and performance feedback meetings.
•    Manage team member growth with individualized opportunities. 
•    Manage Project Management team accountability through use of Nomad’s project management methods and processes.
•    Serve as a Nomad ambassador.

Process
•    Develop and maintain documentation defining Nomad’s project management methodology and processes.  
•    Provide Executive Team with project management reporting, to include organizational performance, project planning, delivery timelines, etc. 
•    Provide feedback and updates to Executive Team on areas for improvement concerning standards, innovation, processes, etc. 
•    Ensure continuity between drawing packages and technical specifications. 
•    Build, disseminate, and finalize SPN and schedule internal and external SPN reviews.
•    Analyze and propose solutions to customer grievances, requirements, inquiries, and modifications.
•    Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Production Managers, and Field Services to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed upon scope and timeline.
•    Provide project milestone updates to Accounts Receivable for PO invoicing.
•    Manage and maintain accountability of project progress data to include EP, SharePoint, Excel Sheets, etc.
•    Support vertical managers in development of vertical and account planning, to include vertical performance, annual predictive planning, delivering predicted planning, vertical sales revenue closings and delivery timelines.

Basic Knowledge Desired: 
•    Strong familiarity with project management software such as MS Project and / or other tracking methodologies. 
•    Knowledge and understanding of project management requirements such as scheduling, financial analysis (direct & indirect labor, overhead, direct materials, expenses, etc.), resource allocation, and time management. 
•    Understanding of the technology integrated and designed into Nomad Products. 
Physical Demands:
•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls. 
•    The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit. 
•    The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Anything heavier than 50 pounds will require two people to lift / carry. 
•    Specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish individual colors.

Working Environment:
•    Fast-paced environment, open-concept office area, interacts regularly with Production. 
•    The work environment is a partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending upon the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60F and 100F but is typically around 70F.  There are times when working outside will be required.
•    The employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided. 
•    The employee will be exposed to a variety of household/commercial chemicals that will require the employee to follow company rules/regulations outlined by that SDS. 
•    All Team Members must wear provided OSHA approved eye protection at all times in manufacturing areas.  The employee will be required to wear provided safety eyewear throughout the performance of their duties. 
•    This position requires working off company premises due to traveling for clients & other business needs; travel requirement at least 20%. 

Qualifications & Experience: 
•    CAPM or equivalent required, PMP desired. 
•    BA / BS degree in Business, Industrial Technology / Engineering, Management, or related discipline strongly desired. 
•    4-6 years of direct work in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
•    An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in the description may be substituted for the above requirements. 
•    Valid driver’s license in good standing.
