Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage and airway management
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Document patient information in electronic health record systems, such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Assist with behavioral health interventions for patients with special needs
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following proper infection control protocols
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and sterile processing procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems, such as eClinicalWorks and Cerner
