Mathematics Teacher (GRE/GMAT prep course)

Currently looking for a math instructor for GRE/GMAT test preparation course to work from 10:30 am-12:20pm Tuesday & Thursday with the possibility of more hours.

The GRE-GMAT Quantitative Reasoning Test Preparation course is designed to assist students seeking admission to Graduate School prepare for the quantitative sections of the GMAT or GRE. The course includes functions of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and probability.

Applicants holding a master's degree are preferred, but applicants holding a bachelor's degree or who have the necessary math background will also be considered.

General Information:

Teaching assignments are made based on previous performance (as seen in previous employment, teacher observations, peer observations, student evaluations, participation in meetings, etc.). Part-time teachers are encouraged to put their name on the substitute teacher list if possible. Part-time teachers are expected to come to all required meetings. They are also encouraged to attend as many activities as possible to foster a feeling of unity in the school.

Pay Varies based on experience and education level.

Job Duties:

Scheduling

-Be willing to teach assigned schedule

-Arrive and depart 15 minutes before and after class

Meetings

-Attend teacher’s in-service Teaching and Classroom Management

-Teach classes

-Accurately take attendance (including tardies)

-Complete grades

-Successfully manage classrooms

-Begin and end classes on time, and keep breaks to an appropriate length.

-Enforce all classroom rules and ethics

-Refer students to student services when appropriate

-Fill out all necessary paperwork and forms
