Marketing Model Sushi Bar Server Job Description
Reports To : Restaurant Manager
Department : Food and Beverage
Core Job Responsibilities :
Server will provide quick, warm and responsive service to all guests while taking and serving food and beverage orders. The role will be accountable for financial transactions and effectively market their assigned venue during their shift.

Everyone works in Safety –If you have a safety concern, it is your responsibility to address it by correcting it or notifying the appropriate department or individual.
Everyone works in Security –If you See Something, it is your responsibility to Say Something. You must notify the appropriate department or individual if you feel there is a security concern.
Everyone works in EVS –If there is trash on the floor, it is your responsibility to pick it up. If it is a mess that needs more attention, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Everyone works in Guest Experience –If a guest needs assistance, it is your responsibility to assist that guest and do so with a smile. If the guest needs more assistance than you can provide, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Primary Job Duties : – Includes, but is not limited to :
Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.
Effectively communicating with management and sushi chefs to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other employees.
Working as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries.
Always be positive, show enthusiasm, be humble, be thankful, and be respectful to all team members.
Exhibiting proper menu knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of both nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and any menu items offered.
Greeting guests in a positive, friendly manner and making them feel welcome.
Giving menu spiels to every guest and highlighting any specials.
Guiding guests through all phases of their experience.
Anticipating the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency. Maintaining a level of professionalism, which will make guests want to return.
Bidding farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return. The farewell consists of saying “See you tomorrow.”
Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated (logo) apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue. Participate in marketing, publicity, or media materials.
Marketing and promoting Sushi Bar and Speakeasy events both on property and on Social Media platforms
Maintain social platforms as indicated by management and participate in marketing campaigns via social media
Checking back on guests throughout their experience and upselling.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of bars, drafts, counters, and POS stations.
Be able to change, clean, and sanitize kegs correctly.
Batch tea and cocktail kegs according to recipe.
Fold to-go boxes as per your requirement.
Restock all items at the end of your shift.
Performing all opening and closing duties, based upon shift assignment.
Building and establishing a personal clientele.
Participate in weekly marketing requirements.
Following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and all health and safety regulations set by the County health department.
Maintain your health card on you at all times.
Conforming to the department grooming standards, uniform or attire, and jewelry policy.
