Core Job Responsibilities :
Sushi Cook will be responsible for supporting the outlet kitchen chefs and assisting with supporting kitchen staff. This role will work on multiple stations within the kitchen and ensure the preparation and quality of food are to outlet standards.

Everyone works in Safety –If you have a safety concern, it is your responsibility to address it by correcting it or notifying the appropriate department or individual.
Everyone works in Security –If you See Something, it is your responsibility to Say Something. You must notify the appropriate department or individual if you feel there is a security concern.
Everyone works in EVS –If there is trash on the floor, it is your responsibility to pick it up. If it is a mess that needs more attention, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Everyone works in Guest Experience –If a guest needs assistance, it is your responsibility to assist that guest and do so with a smile. If the guest needs more assistance than you can provide, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Primary Job Duties : – Includes, but is not limited to :
Greet and welcome all guests in a professional manner.
Set up workstation according to kitchen guidelines.
Prepare fresh rice every hour.
Cut fish to proper weight according to specs and weigh for accuracy.
Prepare, season, finish, and garnish designated recipes / menu items as assigned in accordance with established recipes and guidelines.
Read tickets and prepare food items accordingly with 100% accuracy.
Follow standardized presentations with 100% accuracy and seek approval on presentations for special request items.
Maintain quality standards set forth by management and report any inconsistencies, as necessary.
Inspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper temperature, handling, and rotation of products.
Wrap, label and date all food products in accordance with SNHD standards.
Work cleanly and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with SNHD guidelines.
Maintain a true understanding of the food regulations with the ability to recite upon request.
Stock designated station for the next shift.
Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and sanitary manner with complete understanding of how the equipment works.
Work at a station independently and efficiently with little or no assistance during regular business volumes.
Bidding farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return. The farewell consists of saying “See you tomorrow”.
Prepare special requests as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
Read orders from KDS / Kitchen Printer and prepare food items accordingly, and service guest at Sushi counter.
Assist in the training of new employees as requested.
Understand and follow written company procedures with accuracy.
Interact with guests in an upbeat and positive manner.
Maintain cleanliness, but not limited to counters, common cooking, and storage areas.
