Overview:
Looking for an FP&A professional with experience building and maintaining financial models, budgeting, forecasting and monthly variance analysis. Candidate should also have the ability to assess current processes and make recommendations for enhancements using automation tools and be a change agent where necessary.
Role offers opportunity to interact with Front Office, build and maintain models, and manage both revenue and expense expectations. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about Investment Banking and grown with the FP&A role to support the Americas Wholesale business. The role offers extensive reach for various finance innovation tools, including Alteryx and Power BI, to build dashboards, enhance reporting and automate key functions.
Role Description:
· Build and maintain financial models that will enable senior leadership to make effective decisions about the company’s cost base, revenue and financial resource usage including Executive Presentations, variance analysis and periodic Business reviews
· Assist in all innovation, automation and technology enablement initiatives across Finance. Participate in Firm’s Finance Transformation to Automated Digital solutions using Power BI, Alteryx or Python
· Identify areas of current production and increase efficiency and automation where necessary
· Manage the execution and delivery of the Americas Investment Banking budget by partnering with divisional CAO’s to submit results, design reporting to track variances to budget and identify areas for saves
· Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and support for special projects as determined by Sr Management and Global Finance partnerships
· Partner with Strategy teams to provide analysis for business reviews and expense deep dives
· Contribute to the Firm’s daily revenue flash reporting to Sr Management
Skills:
· 3 years in accounting or financial experience, with a preference to FP&A functions
· Advanced Excel skills
· Interest in Power B.I., Alteryx or other Data Visualization experience
· Experience with General Ledgers and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools (Hyperion preferred)
· Knowledge of Financial Services Industry a plus especially Banking
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, and adhere to deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with Sr Management and summarize findings.
· Proactive and detail orientated.
· Strong academic qualifications
· Motivated self-starter capable of excelling in a fast paced team environment
