They are seeking to directly hire a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage the payroll processes efficiently and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Position Summary
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing and managing payroll operations using ADP Workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payroll for all employees. This role will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to maintain payroll records, resolve payroll discrepancies, and support compliance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Process biweekly/semi-monthly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce.
- Ensure payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local tax laws and nonprofit-specific regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee wages, benefits, and deductions.
- Process and validate timecards, overtime, paid time off (PTO), and other payroll-related adjustments.
- Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Generate and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and payroll changes.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings and reports.
- Assist in audits and maintain payroll records for compliance.
- Stay updated on payroll best practices and relevant legislation impacting nonprofit organizations.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce is required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and tax compliance.
- Experience handling multi-state payroll is a plus.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll data with integrity.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll reporting tools.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
