Job Title: Social Worker/Counselor

Status: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility, occasional evenings required)

Salary: $62,000 - $68,000

Job Overview

A dedicated and compassionate Social Worker/Counselor is needed to provide case management, therapy, crisis intervention, and advocacy for women, including mothers, reintegrating into the community post-incarceration.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive individual case management, including intake, assessment, service planning, progress reviews, and discharge planning.
• Offer one-on-one and group counseling to residents in transitional housing.
• Facilitate trauma-informed and gender-responsive group programs.
• Utilize structured curricula such as Seeking Safety, Beyond Anger and Violence, Circle of Safety, Parenting Journey, and Beyond Trauma.
• Coordinate with child and adolescent therapists to support family reunification.
• Lead mediation sessions, case conferences, and house meetings as needed.
• Maintain accurate case records, including progress notes, clinical assessments, and legal reports.
  
  

Qualifications

• LMSW or LMHC certification required.
• 2-3 years of experience working with high-risk populations and individuals affected by complex trauma.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team setting.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Training in trauma-informed care and person-centered case planning.
• Experience working with justice-involved individuals and their families.
• Familiarity with public assistance programs, substance abuse treatment, and supportive housing systems.
