Position: Immigration Paralegal
Location: Bronx, NY
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in immigration law
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
- Legal Research: Conduct research to support case preparation and stay updated on immigration laws and procedures.
- Client Communication: Engage with clients and government agencies to gather necessary information and provide case updates.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current immigration laws.
- File Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strategic Support: Attend client meetings and assist with case strategy development.
- Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with courts, ensuring adherence to court procedures and deadlines.
- Deadline Management: Monitor and manage case deadlines to ensure timely submissions and compliance with legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years as an immigration paralegal.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures.
- Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English and Albanian is required.
- Proficiency in Italian is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
