The Level II Mechanical Integrity and NDE Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job descriptions:
- Competent in reading Piping and Instrumentation drawing/diagrams.
- Able to sketch critical inspection areas on ISO drawings.
- Strong Petrochemical/Refinery experience.
- Fluent in manual film processing.
- Provide non-destructive examination in the following methods:
- Radiographic Examination.
- Liquid Penetrant Examination.
- Magnetic Particle Examination.
- Visual Examination.
- Ultrasonic Thickness measurements.
- Able to utilize a pit gauge.
- Provide internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of such equipment.
- Able to communicate with customer/client representatives on daily basis.
- Responsible for returning a completed product in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
- Required to establish and manage all safety procedures and functions throughout a project.
- Able to train assistants efficiently in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and procedures.
- Capable of training personnel in safe work practices.
- Evaluate and interpret product results to the code of construction or customer specifications.
- Effectively meet deadlines set forth by management or clientele.
- Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects; and,
- Any other assignment necessary to meet Level II responsibilities set forth by the Company.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.;
- Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.;
- Currently hold certifications Level II Certifications in RT, MT, PT and UTT;
- Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety industries;
- Able to pass FBI and Company drug/alcohol testing;
- Capable of passing Fit for Duty testing; and,
- Able to pass a motor vehicle check.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Contain API 510, 570 or 653 certifications; and,
- Advanced educational degrees or certifications.
