The MSS Guided Wave Technician job description is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job descriptions:
- Read piping ISOs.
- Walk down inspection areas to prepare the client and company for inspection.
- Capable of acquiring all geometric features of piping equipment.
- Proficient with ultrasonic thickness and A-scan techniques.
- Organize and document all environmental aspects of the project location which the inspection will be performed and components of the piping that will be inspected.
- Capable of meeting the MsS Guided Wave inspection procedures to ensure the inspection technique is being performed effectively.
- Perform the NDE inspection proficiently in accordance with manufacturer and Company's requirements.
- Assist with other NDE inspection methods to complete the project of high quality.
- Any other duties deemed necessary by your manager.
Qualifications
Required Qualification(s)
- High School Diploma, G.E.D.
- Level II UT-A in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
- MsS Level I & II certifications for Piping Inspection in accordance with Guided Wave Analysis.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass an MVR evaluation.
- Valid TWIC TSA background identification card.
- Able to pass Fit for Duty Testing and Drug/Alcohol policies/procedures.
