JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Assistant is a full-time, hourly position with Nonn's. This position works in our countertop fabrication facility with the primary responsibility to assist in handling the company's inventory and keep inventory operations smooth and efficient in the receiving area. The Inventory Control Assistant works on the shop floor and will also assist with other fabrication and maintenance duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Unload inventory trucks and organize slabs in their proper place in the receiving area
- Remove excess slab pieces after cutting operation for disposal or to update partial inventory
- Communicate with various departments on the status of inventory
- Enter updates to inventory in company computer system
- Conduct inventory counts as directed
- Assist with shop maintenance, including cleaning and upkeep of machines.
- Assist in other work areas of the shop, including fabrication, loading, and yard maintenance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
