Job Summary
A well-established residential construction company specializing in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized Construction Coordinator / Administrator to join our growing team in Rancho Cordova, CA. This is a mid-level position ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of construction operations, supporting projects from permit processing to final punch walks.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and update active projects in our construction CRM
- Coordinate project schedules, team assignments, and timeline tracking
- Support budgeting efforts and maintain job cost and vendor invoice records
- Work directly with city and county building departments to manage permits and submittals
- Assist with subcontractor coordination and maintain compliance documentation
- Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and construction crews to keep timelines on track
- Help organize pre-construction documentation and track milestones across departments
- Provide general administrative support to the construction leadership team
- Complete and manage subcontractor agreements and qualifications.
What You Bring:
- 2 years of experience in construction administration, coordination, or related fields
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and working with building departments
- Proficient in CRM or project management platforms (Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, etc.)
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
- Construction or related industry experience is a plus
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required
