ABOUT THE JOB
- The Industrial Maintenance Manager position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and use electrical diagrams and understand mechanical drawings to troubleshoot issues.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Repair and replace electrical components and wiring.
- Maintain critical spare components inventory to support 24-hour operations.
- Coordination of maintenance and repair with production and quality assurance teams.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
- · Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting all aspects of equipment operations.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Define and maintain critical spare components and work with local machine shops for fabrication.
- Operate small equipment like grinders, drill press, measuring equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Assist with equipment training and technology transfer to operators as needed.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Have supervisory skills, able to encourage and motivate various personalities to perform their best
- Have basic computer skills, willing to learn a web-based MRP system to update and create schedules and checklists for preventative maintenance
- Have electrical knowledge of basic systems such as 480VAC three-phase wiring, 24VDC wiring, 90VDC motors, SCR’s, AC motors, VFD’s, sensors, relays
- Have ability to understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot faulted machinery.

- Evaluate all work orders to determine appropriate actions and personnel needed. Ensure the availability of various parts and tooling needs for repairs and work orders.
- Evaluates special projects such as program changes, machine/jig modifications and equipment moves to ensure all changes are made to schematics and blueprints
- Establish work content and frequency for all preventative maintenance activities. Establish a schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) for all preventative maintenance actions and perform spot inspections plantwide.
- Develop and maintain all equipment specifications and history data. Evaluate production equipment repair history and analyze all reports.
- Monitor and track causes of production downtime and implement countermeasures
- Plan, schedule, and order all necessary material, equipment, tools and spare parts to complete daily activities; analyze equipment manuals for stocking repair parts
- Responsible for processes, equipment, members, safety and housekeeping in the maintenance area and meeting production and quality standards on a daily basis
- Responsible for overall facility maintenance to include space allocation and layout, communication services, contract service agreements and the maintenance of the grounds, fire protection, housekeeping and security.
- Recognize and initiate cost reduction and manufacturing process improvement projects in order to increase efficiencies, improve product quality, reduce scrap, improve quality, safety and productivity and monitor/track causes of production downtime and implement countermeasures
- Provides technical assistance to production for work orders related to tooling and equipment. Works closely with outside contractors on equipment repair and improvements.
- Develops team leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines and the maintenance members
- Additional responsibilities as required and assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to interact and understand people
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing system, processes, materials and maintenance activities
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervision and managing a team of 6 Maintenance Technicians
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
OR
- Technical School Certification
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment a MUST
- Management Experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical background
- FMX Knowledge
- Strong PLC knowledge

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
