JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for properly performing financial activities related to the General Ledger Accounting division of the Finance department in accordance with established policies, procedures and controls. Performs statistical and clerical duties to prepare routine financial information and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- With relationship to job duties and job responsibilities; Ensures compliance with the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe- Washington State Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and The Point Casino Policies and Procedures.
- Establish and modify documents, coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Has access to sensitive areas only when accompanied by Security Officer.
- Receive and track approvals on accounts payable bills to ensure timely payments.
- Enter data from approved accounts payable bills into accounting system.
- Print and match A/P checks to back up, and file the packet.
- Assist upper management by ensuring daily cash management and reporting.
- Reconcile credit card "chargebacks" and respond in a timely manner.
- Reconcile ATM REG E's and respond in a timely manner.
- Update and reconcile Cash Advance and ATM Logs.
- Maintain subsidiary ledgers as directed.
- Perform accounts receivable functions; which includes utilizing source documents to prepare invoices, along with customer relations.
- Attend regularly scheduled department meetings.
- Prepare and maintain various financial journals, reports and reconciliations.
- Perform casino revenue audit function as directed in a back-up capacity.
- Prepare and process journal entries.
- Assist with soft count record keeping and reporting in a back-up capacity.
- Promote positive public and employee relations through efficient, courteous, professional services.
- Perform all other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university Majoring in Accounting; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class III Gaming License issued by the Washington State Gambling Commission and by the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Commission.
Salary : $22 - $23
