Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Promotes the effective operation of assigned Table Game by providing excellent customer service while maintaining game security and adhering to established policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports Directly to: Table Games Floor Supervisor, Table Games Shift Supervisor, and Table Games Manager
Supervises Directly: N/A
Other Important Contacts: Shift Supervisor, Table Games Manager, other casino management and employees, and guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes customer service as a priority.
- Complies with company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensures the integrity and productivity of assigned table by monitoring customers play and table action.
- Maintains accuracy at an acceptable game pace while completing fills, credits and table openers/closers.
- Assists players with buy-in transactions at assigned table.
- Educates players on proper rules and procedures of assigned table game.
- Computes payable odds to pay winning bets and collects losing bets
- Contacts the floor supervisor immediately for their acknowledgement of any large buy-ins, color ups, unusual play or disputes.
- Promotes the integrity of the casino by notifying a supervisor or manager of any unusual or illegal activity while on property.
- Promotes Nooksack Northwood Casino’s Winner’s Club promotions, special events and promotes the advantages to guests while encouraging non-member sign-ups.
- Maintains a professional and clean work area.
- Maintains a professional appearance and represents the company in a positive manner.
- Because of the Casino’s commitment to our guests and customer service, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Obtain and maintain a valid Washington State Class III Gaming License and a Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency Gaming License.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Previous Table Games Dealing experience or successful completion of dealer training.
- Must pass a live audition.
Preferred:
- Previous casino experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Works a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Environment may be noisy, crowded, and smoke filled.
- Monitored by surveillance cameras.
- May be exposed to customers who are excited, intoxicated, agitated or in distress.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stands for extended periods of time.
- May sit for extended periods of time.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Bending and twisting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Table games rules, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of marketing promotions and special events.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to up-sell the winners club.
- Ability to work with diverse customers and employees.
- Ability to deal games at an acceptable game pace.
- Basic math and money handling skills.
- Ability to train guests on games and rules.
- Ability to speak, write and understand English.
