Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Host – Busser will greet guests on their way into the restaurant, hand out menus, and show guests to the most appropriate table at their arrival. They also will assist handle customer phone calls and take to-go orders and answer any questions about the restaurant and menu, including questions about dietary restrictions and accommodations.
They will be the first person our guests will see when they come into the restaurant, it’s important that they be able to maintain a professional and cheerful demeanor on shift. Must be able to handle several competing priorities.
A Busser is responsible for making sure that tables are set, silverware is placed correctly and glasses stay full. They support the waiter staff to ensure all tables are set and cleared in a timely manner.

Other Important Contacts: F&B Manager, General Manager, CFO, Department Managers, Department Supervisors, TGA, Employees
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greeting guests as they enter.
• Creating and managing guest waitlists as needed.
• Seating guests at tables.
• Finding the appropriate table for each guest according to their preferences and group size.
• Remembering table rotation and ensuring all servers receive the right number of guests.
• Engaging with guests to ensure the quality of food and customer service.
• Responding to client complaints and helping to resolve those complaints.
• Answering phone calls and taking to go orders.
• Memorizing the menu and dietary options.
• Helping out other staff members as needed during your shift.
• Providing great customer service at all times.
• Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after diners are done eating
• Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables
• Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners
• Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers and any other depleted condiments on the dining table
• Refilling drinking glasses with water
• Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy
• Handling cleaning of the dining area at the close of day
• Because of the Casino’s commitment to our guests and customer service, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Non-Gaming Nooksack Tribal Gaming Agency License
• Must obtain and maintain a WA State Tips Certification.
• Must obtain and maintain a Washington State Food Handlers Permit.
PREFERRED
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Must be able to provide top-notch customer service, even under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to cooperate with other restaurant staff
• Ability to maintain work quality while unsupervised
• Must be able to work standing for long periods of time
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy trays of food when necessary

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Occasionally required to work in loud, crowded, and smoke-filled casino environment.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able to bend and reach.
