Insurance Operations Coordinator
General Responsibilities
The Insurance Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing end-to-end client onboarding, client follow-up, policy management, and overall client relations. This person will generally oversee daily operations of the insurance department, ensuring efficient and effective processes as it relates to clientele and customer service.
Duties of the role include the following but not limited to:
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prescreening clients for insurance needs
· Creating and submitting applications
· Conduct regular follow-up with existing clients
· Track submitted business goals and progress
· Handle all billing
· Maintain compliance with industry regulations
· Arrange for medical/paramed exams
· Follow-up on underwriting requirements
· Prepare policies for delivery
Qualifications
It is recommended that the Insurance Operations Coordinator have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or progressively responsible work experience.
· Three to five years’ experience preferred in the insurance and/or financial services industry
· Exceptional customer service skills; this role will require the ability to make phone calls
· Proactive problem-solving skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in which daily responsibilities might fluctuate
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other technologies
· High degree of initiative and organization
· Superior written and oral communication skills.
· Demonstrated use of time management skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
