Overview
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help maintain an organized dish area to facilitate efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support the culinary team during busy service periods by assisting with additional tasks as required.
Experience
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
