Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team based in Southern California, with the option for remote work. This role will involve supporting a variety of major electric utility clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing Transmission and Distribution Line projects using PLS-CADD Software, under the guidance of the Transmission Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transmission line design efforts for projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.
- Develop routing and design of Transmission / Distribution lines using Power Line Systems (PLS) software, including PLS-CADD.
- Model existing lines and poles using PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole software.
- Provide direction and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, ensuring quality control of heir work.
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects, ensuring they stay within budget and meet deadlines.
- Oversee design teams to produce complete construction packages for transmission line projects.
- Communicate project updates and collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Review and self-check design work to ensure quality before it is submitted for senior-level review.
